Ron Jacobs began as a jewelry repair apprentice working with his uncle, Max Jacobs, in 1965 on Wabash (Jewelers Row), in downtown Chicago. When Ron was 20 he opened up his own repair shop in the Mallers building downtown. At the time he was the youngest self-employed jeweler in the history of Chicago! He moved his business to Skokie in 1974 and eventually settled in Morton Grove in 1979.
Ron launched his retail business in 1985 when his wife Robin joined him. They expanded again in 1990, moving across the street to their current location at the intersection of Waukegan & Beckwith Roads. Ron, Robin and now their daughter Allison can be found behind the showcases 5 days a week helping customers choose or design perfect gifts, re-imagine tired or handed down jewelry pieces or repair their jewelry & watches.
